American Red Cross teams up with NFL to offer blood donors chance to win Super Bowl tickets

The new promotion was started in response to the current blood shortage

Helping others always makes people feel good, however even the most generous people sometimes need a little incentive in order to complete a good deed. That’s why the American Red Cross has teamed up with the NFL to offer up free Super Bowl tickets for one lucky person willing to donate blood. The winner will receive a package that includes tickets to the game, round-trip airfare, three-night hotel accommodations and $500 gift card for expenses.

The American Red Cross recently warned they are currently dealing with a blood shortage, and are looking for people to help. While the organization saw a 62% drop in college and high school blood drives, they are hoping a free trip to the Super Bowl is enough to get the numbers back up. Along with a trip to the Super Bowl, the winner will also receive entry to the official NFL Tailgate and tickets to the Super Bowl Experience.

Of course, that’s not the only prize the American Red Cross and NFL are offering. According to Fox News, blood donors will also have the opportunity to win an at-home Super Bowl experience, which includes a short-throw laser projector, speakers and a $500 gift card. For those hoping to spice up their Super Bowl this year, donating blood may be the perfect way.
