Buying land in Texas is a dream for many. However, for those with bigger dreams than just a secluded place of their own, they can now be the proud owners of an entire town in Texas. Lobo, Texas has been a ghost town since the 1990s, but now the owners are looking to sell it in hopes the next owners do something interesting with the land.
Back in 2001, a group of artists from Frankfurt, Germany purchased a ghost town in Lobo, Texas and turned it into their own, hosting music and film festivals and inviting artists from all over the world. However, with only one still living in America, the group has decided it’s time to give Lobo some new owners. According to Texas Monthly, no asking price has been listed and those interest are encouraged to contact the owner at aleximexil@hotmail.com.
“We are not just trying to make a profit. We would like to find a group of people that want to do something interesting out there. Not necessarily what we did, but some idea,” said owner Alexander Bardorff. The group is hosting an event during Memorial Day Weekend for anyone interested in buying the land. This could be the Texas property someone has always dreamed of.
