Texas has grown a lot over the last few years, and it seems that trend will continue as yet another California company has announced plans to move to Texas. Los Angeles based SmartAction recently announced they will move their headquarters to Fort Worth by 2022. The move comes as more and more tech companies view the Lone Star state as an option.
Though not a massive company, SmartAction joins a growing list of companies relocating to Texas. “SmartAction is another company that allows us to really build that nucleus of technology companies in Fort Worth and it gives us the ability to attract more and larger innovative tech companies,” said economic development director, Robert Sturns. The job would bring a minimum of 66 jobs to the area.
According to Fort Worth Star-Telegram, job openings include positions in marketing, information technology, and software engineering. The company plans to move to a temporary office at 9800 Hillwood Parkway in far north Fort Worth, before moving into a permanent home by January 1, 2022. It seems Texas’ growing popularity won’t be stopping any time soon.
