Well, it appears that dream is closer to reality than ever before as it was recently announced the project finally has a big name director attached to it. Antoine Fuqua has been picked to direct the film, and many fans are thrilled with the choice.
Director Antoine Fuqua first rose to prominence thanks to the 2001 film ‘Training Day.’ Now, fresh off ‘Emancipation’ starring Will Smith, the director is now set to begin working on what may end up being his biggest film yet. The Michael Jackson documentary, currently titles ‘Michael,’ is set to begin filming this year, according to ScreenRant.

While no actors have been attached to the project yet, the film will be produced by Graham King, whose credits include ‘Ali,’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ and ‘The Departed.’ No release date has been announced for the film at this time. However, with Fuqua now on board, it might be coming sooner than many expected.
