Anyone who owns a pet likely has a phone full of photos of their animal doing just about anything. Now, the city of Arlington is giving all those pet photos purpose with a new photo contest. The contest is in support of the city's 'Doo The Right Thing' campaign to clean up pet waste.

Dog owners throughout North Texas now have the chance to prove their dog is the most adorable in the metroplex, as the City of Arlington and the North Central Texas Council of Governments recently announced their annual dog photo contest has returned. Photos for the 'Doo The Right Thing' contest can be submitted until June 30, with a vote taking place in August and the winner announced in October.

"One dog can make a difference in preventing stormwater pollution. Thank you for taking the time to pledge to DOO the Right Thing! Enter your information below and upload a photo for a chance to be featured on @DooNorthTexas social media accounts," reads a description of the contest. According to CW33, both the city of Arlington and the North Central Texas Council of Governments have shared tips on cleaning up pet waste for animal owners. Photos can be submitted here. Hopefully all the submissions aren't of dogs handling their business.
