Anytime someone heads to the woods to go camping, they are met with warnings to not leave food out in order to avoid bears. However, rarely do people get those same warnings in their own homes. A California man was stunned recently when he came home to find a bear inside his home. Making matters worse; the bear was devouring the man’s bucket of KFC fried chicken.
As seen in the clip that recently went viral, a man returns home only to find his kitchen destroyed and a bear sitting on top of his kitchen counter stealing his dinner. According to the New York Post, the man’s front door was wide open when he returned home, but instead of a home intruder, it was a bear that had broke in. “They sure made a mess of the place,” said John Holden, who filmed the bear while standing behind a wall so he wouldn’t be notice.
While only one bear is seen in the viral clip, Holden claimed there were at least two more bears on the property at the time. “I’ve actually had them bump into me a couple times in the backyard, but definitely never in the house like that,” said Holden. Maybe next time he will skip the break in and just invite the bears in.
