Usually when someone forgets to lock their car doors, they risk valuables being stolen that they left inside their car. However, for one person that recently made that mistake, it was an animal, not a criminal, that took advantage of the open doors. Luckily, the bear was eventually let out of the car, but not before fully destroying the car’s interior while trapped inside.

As seen in photos that were recently shared by Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials, a bear somehow got trapped inside a parked car; destroying everything inside from the windows and windshield to the car’s paneling. The incident took place near the border of Jefferson and Gilpin counties in Colorado, according to Fox News. Officials estimate the bear weighed 200-250 pounds.

A separate video shared by Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials show someone letting the bear out of the car, saving it from anymore destruction. “Just a friendly reminder to remove all attractants and to lock your vehicles. This is what it will look like if a bear gets into it," said CPW. Hopefully the car’s owner had insurance that covers bear attacks.
