Yesterday was a big day at the State Fair of Texas.
On October 4, 1952, Big Tex made his debut at the State Fair of Texas, making yesterday his 74th birthday! You look great for 74, Big Tex.
And he received a pretty massive gift, his own historical marker, located just across from where he first stood over seven centuries ago!
The State Fair said in a post on social media that the marker “will remain on display year-round, celebrating the story of a cowboy who has become part of generations of Fair memories!”
