The State Fair of Texas is almost here. Already fair organizers have unveiled the entertainment and food options for this year’s event, and now the only thing left is to get the fair’s massive symbol, Big Tex, up and in place at Fair Park. Those final steps appear to be underway as well, as someone in DFW recently spotted Big Tex’s boots being transported by trailer on a North Texas highway.
Over the weekend, a DFW driver captured video passing an 18-wheeler that has Big Tex’s boots on it. As seen in the clip, the colorful boots are strapped to the trailer traveling on the highway. Downtown Dallas can be seen in the background.
Many Texans commented on the video, sharing their excitement for this year’s fair. The State Fair of Texas will open this year on September 29. Hopefully the rest of Big Tex’s outfit makes it on time.
