Blue Bell Ice Cream is beloved in Texas, but apparently the rest of the country doesn’t feel the same way. While the Texas-based brand is one of the most successful ice cream companies in the country, a recent survey showed many ice cream lovers aren’t a fan. The survey named Blue Bell as the worst ice cream brand, trailing others such as Blue Bunny, Baskin-Robbins and Haagen-Dazs.
Mashed recently conducted a survey to find the worst store bought ice cream brand, and to the surprise of many Texans, Blue Bell came in last place. The survey asked 618 people what their least favorite brand was and 19.74% of participants picked Blue Bell, according to My San Antonio. Despite these numbers, Blue Bell is currently available in 22 states and is considered the third largest ice cream company by revenue in the country with $671.4 million.

Other brands making the list were Blue Bunny at 18.12%, Edy’s at 16.5% and Breyers at 16.18%. Of course, many Texans were upset by these rankings, claiming Blue Bell must taste better in the Lone Star state. Luckily, this won’t change anything as Blue Bell will remain a Texas staple for years to come.
