Every year around Halloween candy corn makes its return, despite few people actually admitting to liking the seasonal candy. The controversial candy is constantly being voted the worst Halloween treat, yet somehow it makes its way inside homes. This year, confection company Brach’s wants to change the opinion on candy corn by giving it some new flavors for another time of year everyone loves, football season.
Brach’s recently unveiled their new line of candy corn, the Tailgate Candy Corn mix. The flavors included in the mix are hot dog, hamburger, popcorn, fruit punch and vanilla ice cream. While popcorn, fruit punch and vanilla ice cream are acceptable, many wondered who the person was that thought hot dog and hamburger flavored candy corn was a good idea.
"I guess if they're gonna ruin a candy, I'm glad it was candy corn, rather than something I love,” said one social media user in response to the new flavors. According to Fox News, the new flavors are now available. For anyone planning a tailgate this year, they should probably find a second dessert option, just in case.
