For many musicians, picking a favorite song is like asking a parent to pick their favorite child. Still, when asked to pick a favorite song off of Queen's 'Greatest Hits' album, guitarist Brian May didn't hold back. May recently claimed of the many songs he loves on the record, 'We Will Rock You' is his favorite.
Queen's 'Greatest Hits' album is one of the UK's best-selling albums ever with copies still being sold 40 years later. In celebration of the album's 40th anniversary Queen released a re-issue of the iconic album that almost reached number one on the UK album charts once again last week. Now, Brian May is back talking about the beloved album, and even discussed why 'We Will Rock You' is his favorite.
"If I was being very…allowing myself to be partisan, probably would be We Will Rock You, because it sort of says everything in a short time and it's something that's always worked for us," said May. According to Express, May claimed the song almost didn't make the album, as it had to battle its way onto the record. Like May, plenty of fans are happy the song made it onto the album, as now it's one of the most iconic songs of all time.
