They say all comedians wish they were musicians, while all musicians think they are funny. In the end, most are best suited sticking to their day job. However, there are some successful crossovers throughout history. The latest comes courtesy of Bryan Adams and Monty Python’s John Cleese, who recently released a song together that surprised many fans.
Bryan Adams’ fans have been patiently waiting for the release of his new album, ‘So Happy It Hurts,’ but while that doesn’t come out until March, they recently got an unexpected taste as to what they will hear. Adams shared the song ‘Kick Ass’ from his new album, which features a spoken word introduction performed by comedian John Cleese, according to Ultimate Classic Rock.

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth, then he created the waters and the land, and then he created man, but man degenerated and descended into the black hole of creating bad music. There was no rock music,” Cleese says before Adams breaks into the song. Many fans enjoyed the strange collaboration, though most were just happy Cleese was speaking and not singing. Hopefully more surprises are to come.
