The start of college football season is only a few weeks, and that means fans all over the country are getting ready to root for their favorite schools. Of course, for some bashing their team’s rival is sometimes just as fun as watching their team win. That’s why this year Bud Light is offering Texans the chance at free beer, but it may mean cheering for a rival.

Texas football fans often argue which school is the best college football program in the state, but this year fans will have to cheer for the entire state and not just their favorite school. Bud Light recently announced a new college football challenge, where if all the Texas schools ranked in the top 100 end the first week of the season with a combined winning record, Texans will be able to stop by participating bars for a free Bud Light. “Texas fans may not agree on teams, but they do agree gamedays go better with an ice cold beer,” tweeted Bud Light.

According to CW33, the bars participating in the Bud Light challenge are Stan’s Blue Shed, Nodding Donkey, Barley House, Milo Butterfingers, Henderson Tap House and Katy Trail Ice House in Dallas. Denton will also be getting involved at Lucky Lou’s, RT’s Neighborhood Bar, East Side Social Club, Two Charlies and The Dive. While you may not love rooting for a rival, for free beer it may be worth it.
