Earlier this week, the country was stunned when video of a tiger walking around a residential Houston, Texas neighborhood went viral. While many shared their own opinions on the situation, most wanted to hear from the only experts on tigers they know; the stars of the Netflix documentary ‘Tiger King.’ Now, Carole Baskin has weighed in on the situation, and is reminding people owning tigers as pets in not a good idea.
Throughout the week, the Houston tiger story quickly grew from catchy headline to potential movie. According to Fox News, witnesses last saw the tiger being lured into an SUV by a man, but authorities still haven’t located the missing tiger. For Big Cat Rescue founder Carole Baskin, the missing tiger situation can get much worse.
“That cat looked like it had been out there in the front yard for a while before anybody even came looking for it so I am extremely worried about what’s going to happen to that cat or what that cat is going to do to somebody given the fact that nobody is turning them in,” said Baskin. While the tiger is still young, Baskin claimed as it gets older it will only get more aggressive. Hopefully the ‘Tiger King’ crew can come together and save the day.
