For most cat lovers, one feline friend is almost never enough. Luckily for those in DFW that find themselves wanting to be around by cats at all times, there is a new place in the metroplex where not only can they adopt a new cat, but enjoy a meal surrounded by cats as well. Whiskers and Soda Cat Café had their grand opening this weekend, and it’s definitely a place cat fans will want to check out.

Dog friendly restaurants can be found all throughout North Texas, but now there is a place for cat lovers as well. Whiskers and Soda Cat Café, owned by Lake Highlands residents Caroline and Rob Stovall, launched on Saturday. Not only does the café serve beverages and pastries by local Leila Bakery, but the space also includes Griffin Rock Cat Retreat, a luxurious cat boarding facility open for up to 12 cats/cat families. According to Dallas Culture Map, the goal of the new cat paradise is to provide a place for potential adopters to connect with cats.

The cats at the café will also receive veterinary care. Along with beverages and pastries, customers will be able to spend time with cats and kittens throughout the café, with multiple cat related areas. With this, cat lovers finally have a place in DFW to enjoy some feline fun outside of their homes.
