Though often valued as the most valuable franchise in sports, the Dallas Cowboys routinely check in as one of the most hated. If you're not a Cowboys fan, chances are you despise them.
A new team is drawing the ire of the NFL fanbase, though this franchise has a few Super Bowl championships that we're sure will help ease that pain.
In a new analysis of social media data, the Kansas City Chiefs have overtaken the Cowboys as the most-hated NFL franchise.
Bet Online studied over 120,000 posts on X to determine which team received the most negative comments. The Chiefs came out on top with well over 10,000 such comments, with the Cowboys receiving roughly 9,000 negative comments.
According to Yahoo, analysts explain the rise in hate for the Chiefs due to a few metrics: Their recent success, with appearances in six straight AFC Championships and three Super Bowl victories in five years; the coverage of the relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, which many think has been "overexposed"; and that many feel NFL officials give the Chiefs "preferential treatment."
