Usually parents have to worry about their children causing fires inside the home. However, rarely do they think it’ll be their kid saving them from a fire. Still, that’s exactly what happened to one family recently, as their 4-year-old daughter saved their home from burning down after spotting a kitchen appliance on fire.
4-year-old Amelia’s heroic act was captured on the home’s security cameras, and was recently shared online by her father, where it quickly went viral. As seen in the clip, Daniel Patrick Jermyn’s daughter was dancing around when she spots the burning appliance. She quickly gets her father’s attention, who resolved the situation by throwing the burning appliance in the pool.
“She’s a little hero. She probably saved my house,” Jermyn said of his daughter’s heroic act. According to Fox News, it was the family’s air fryer that had caught fire. Luckily, no one was harmed and now the daughter can claim hero status.
