Chip and Joanna Gaines may be known as the King and Queen of Waco, but it appears the couple is looking to expand their empire to another Texas city. The former ‘Fixer Upper’ stars recently purchased a bookstore that was once owned by iconic Texan, author Larry McMurtry. The McMurtry family had owned the property since 1987, but now it will be given a Magnolia twist.

Booked Up, the famous bookstore recently purchased by Chip and Joanna Gaines, is located in Archer City, Texas, which also happens to be Chip’s parents’ hometown. The couple purchased two buildings, one which houses the bookstore. "He loves this community and has been a big fan of Larry McMurtry for years. Chip is honored and excited to preserve this incredible book collection with the respect it deserves," said a representative for the couple.

According to Yahoo, it is unknown how much the couple paid for the property. However, deed records show the used bookstore was sold for ten dollars "and other good and valuable consideration." While plans for the bookstore remain unclear, Texans can be rest assured it is now in good hands.
