A good educator can make a huge impact on a student’s life. Luckily for students at Colleyville Middle School, they have a pretty good one leading the way. The school’s principal, David Arencibia, was recently named a finalist for a national principal of the year award.
David Arencibia has been the principal at Colleyville Middle School for the last seven years, and his hard work has definitely not gone unnoticed. The principal was recently named one of three finalists for principal of the year award from the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
“He’s somebody that has a vision and communicates that vision to students and to parents and to staff members. He’s done a tremendous job,” said Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District Superintendent Robin Ryan.

According to Dallas Morning News, Arencibia is loved by not only his current students, but many former students who still keep in contact with the impactful principal. The winner of the award will be announced on November 10 at a gala in Virginia. Hopefully Arencibia will be bringing the award home with him.
