While road trips always seem like a great time, people often realize along the way long trips in the car can be very stressful as well. Being stuck in a small space with others for an extended period of time usually leads to issues. Still, one married couple is putting their relationship to the ultimate test, attempting to become the first to drive from the North Pole to the South Pole.

On Thursday, Chris and Julie Ramsey took off on their journey to become the first to drive from the magnetic North Pole to the South Pole. The couple will be driving all-electric Nissan Ariya that has been modified by the carmaker to be able to handle all terrains. According to Fox News, the trip will take them through 14 countries and cover approximately 17,000 miles.

The couple has already driven over 3,000 miles to reach the starting point. “It gives us the confidence we can tackle every driving scenario we’ll face in the coming months,” said Chris Ramsey. If they make it through the trip, it will be a great accomplishment and prove they can actually spend that much time together.
