The Dallas Cowboys are one of the most well-known sports teams in the entire world, but sadly that hasn’t translated to success on the field in recent years. However, it has led to plenty of success off the field as the team has once again been named the world’s most profitable sports franchise. For the third year in a row, the Cowboys topped the list that included NFL teams, NBA teams, soccer clubs from around the world, and one other DFW sports team.
Forbes recently unveiled their list of most profitable sports team from 2022. According to CBS Texas, the list included 13 NFL teams, seven NBA teams, four English Premier teams and one team from Bundesliga. Topping the list was the Dallas Cowboys, thanks to the team making $1.171 billion in 2022.
Also making the list was the Dallas Mavericks at number 16. The Mavs made $282 million in 2022 and have already topped that figure for 2023. Maybe one day the financial success will turn into team success for both the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.
