Dogs are known to sometimes get into stuff they aren’t supposed to. That’s what happened to one DFW puppy recently, who ended up with its head trapped inside an old tire rim. Luckily, the dog’s life was saved by Dallas Fire Rescue, and now all the puppy needs is a new home.
Last week, a dog in Dallas was heard howling and whimpering when someone spotted it with its head trapped inside the hole of an old tire rim. “Dallas Dog - Rescue.Rehab.Reform” was called to try and help the dog, but when they got there and realized there was nothing they could do, the group quickly called the Dallas Fire Rescue to try and save the dog’s life. Luckily, the fire squad was able to safely remove what they were calling the “steel cone of shame.”
According to Fox 4 News, the dog was taken to a vet, but other than needing some fluids was okay after the incident. The dog has since been named “Wheeler” because of the accident and will soon be put up for adoption.
Hopefully its new owners will help keep it from sticking its head where it doesn’t belong.
