Driving through North Texas isn’t always easy, as vehicles are forced to attempt to avoid traffic, construction and aggressive drivers on a regular basis. While every major city thinks their drivers are the most aggressive, a new study has revealed it may in fact be DFW with the most road rage. The study named Dallas as the city where drivers are most likely to get in a car crash, with Fort Worth and Arlington ranking in the top 25 as well.
Forbes Advisor recently published a report on the American cities where drivers are most likely to be involved in a car accident. Using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Allstate, the study was able to determine Dallas was the city with the most frequent car crashes. According to Dallas Morning News, Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington have some of the highest rates of collisions in a city per year.
While Dallas tied Atlanta, Georgia for the top spot on the list, Fort Worth and Arlington weren’t far behind, ranking 15th and 22nd on the list. “Some of the highest risk areas are concentrated along the coasts and in metro areas with large populations and limited public transportation systems,” said the report. Maybe this report will be what makes drivers in DFW more cautious on the roads.
