Developers looking to overhaul Dallas’ tallest skyscraper have received an extension to purchase the building and still qualify for millions of dollars in incentives.

Mike Ablon of PegasusAblon and Mike Hoque of Hoque Global announced a year ago their plans to purchase, and renovate, the Bank of America Plaza in downtown Dallas that would see the addition of a hotel, restaurants, an observation deck, and a parking garage.

The original agreement called for the building to be purchased by September 30, 2026. That deadline has been extended.

According to WFAA, Hoque said the project was “critical” to downtown Dallas’ future and said in a statement Monday, "As investors and champions of Downtown, we see this as an opportunity to reimagine an iconic landmark and help shape the next era of growth for our city.”
