Whenever a business turns to the internet for help with naming something, they are asking for trouble. While far too often a fan vote for naming rights end up with an extremely inappropriate name being selected, the Dallas Zoo has decided to give it a try anyways. The zoo recently announced the birth of a baby goat, and has asked for help selecting a name.

Earlier this month, the Dallas Zoo announced the birth of three new baby goats at the Lacerte Family Children’s Zoo. While two of the Arapawa goat kids have been named, Oleander and Aster, the zoo is hoping some of their fans can help pick the third goat’s name. Luckily for the goat, the zoo has provided a selection of names to choose from, so it won’t end up being something regrettable.

The zoo wants to keep with the tradition of naming baby goats after native Texas plants, so the choices for the latest goat are; Bluebonnet, Clover, or Fern. According to NBC DFW, people can vote for the new name at the Dallas Zoo website. Soon this goat will be representing Texas every day with its name.
