It seems these days the majority of calls one receives throughout the day are either marked “spam risk” or “unknown caller.” Robocalls have become a major nuisance for many, and now that it’s election season, robotexts from politicians have skyrocketed as well. Now, new data has revealed Texans actually receive more robocalls than most of the country, ranking third in most robocalls last month.
RoboKiller, an app that blocks spam calls and texts, recently released data on which states receive the most robocalls and robotexts. According to their data, Americans received 1.29 billion political robotexts and 24.7 million political robocalls last month. Texas was near the top of that list, receiving 1,712,379 robocalls in October.

According to WFAA, the only states with more robocalls than Texas were Pennsylvania and California. As for robotexts, Texas ranked second in the country with 117,508,382 last month. Hopefully something is done to lower these numbers soon, or else Texans may have to start calling back in defense.
