
There’s a little bit of something for everyone in Dallas, and most of those things can be found just walking through Deep Ellum!
It’s a wonderful, historic part of the city, and is now being included in the conversations for one of the best nightlife spots in the country!
A survey of 3,000 travelers by the photobook company Mixbook ranked Deep Ellum as the ninth best nightlife destination spot in the nation! Surveyors were tasked with coming up with the top 150 areas in the U.S. for nightlife.
Mixbook wrote on its site, “Deep Ellum comes alive at night with a wide array of live music venues, bars, and clubs. This neighborhood is a central point for nightlife, drawing enthusiastic crowds who come to enjoy its diverse musical offerings and vibrant street life. The district is a dynamic and energetic place, reflecting the spirited life of a bustling cultural hub.”
Texas only had one other nightlife destination rank in the top 150: the South Congress neighborhood in Austin which came in at No. 58.
The top 10 U.S. destinations for nightlife according to the survey include:
1 - Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada
2 - The French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana
3 - Kailua-Kona on the Big Island in Hawaii
4 - SoHo in Manhattan in New York
5 - Downtown Anchorage, Alaska
6 - Savannah Historic District in Georgia
7 - Old Colorado City in Colorado Springs
8 - Downtown Nashville in Tennessee
9 - Deep Ellum in Dallas
10 - Waikiki in Honolulu, Hawaii
