There are many things parents can find to complain about when it comes to children’s television, but the one thing most shows know to avoid is making their content too adult for kids. For parents in Denmark, this apparently isn’t a worry, as a new sex education children’s television show recently debut in the country that is about a man with an “extraordinarily long and uncontrollable penis.”
‘John Dillermand,’ the now viral animated series in Denmark, is about a man who uses his record breaking genitalia to complete various tasks, such as taming lions and grilling. The show first premiered on television over the weekend, and while some parents were outraged, others felt it was fine as long as their kids enjoyed the program. “John Dillermand talks to children and shares their way of thinking – and kids do find genitals funny,” said clinical psychologist, Erla Heinesen Højsted.
While the premise of the show may seem outrageous to many, Denmark has a history of using adult content in their sex education. One popular show is about a character that tosses out curse words, regularly smokes a pipe, and refuses to practice basic hygiene. However, it’ll be difficult for the country to top this one.
