Over the summer, it was announced that Dallas Love Field would be opening a Dirk Nowitzki themed biergarten this fall. Now, it appears North Texas’ other commercial airport felt left out, as DFW International Airport recently announced they will be opening their own Dirk Nowitzki themed restaurant. The restaurant is expected to open in 2023.
On Thursday, DFW International Airport’s board of directors approved the addition of a new bar and restaurant called “Nowitzki.” The restaurant will be located in Terminal C when opened. According to Dallas Observer, the menu will feature items such as Jamaican jerk chicken, chicken tikka masala and a few German dishes, such as chicken schnitzel.
“Whether it’s in training, with my family, or traveling the globe, I wanted my menu to reflect who I am so you can get to know me through this restaurant,” said Nowitzki. The restaurant is expected to open next summer. Soon, Mavs fans will have a new favorite place to eat when traveling through DFW Airport.
