New bars and restaurants are always looking for creative ways to separate themselves from the rest. Usually this is done with pop culture themes or specialty menu items, but a new bar coming to DFW will do so by giving guests a blast from the past. The new Deep Ellum bar will feature a design that looks like an old school newsstand.

Chloe’s Newsstand is a new restaurant and bar from entrepreneur Hank Keller, Super Bowl champion Remi Ayodele, and chef Rami Rassas. According to Dallas Culture Map, the bar will be located at The Epic, the mixed-use development on Pacific Avenue, and is expected to open in early 2023. “With its debut edition rolling off the presses in early 2023, Chloe’s Newsstand is the definition of a newsworthy development that’s sure to capture six-inch headlines,” said a release.

The décor of the restaurant will be similar to that of a newsstand, with booths, dimly lit walls, classic photography, a chandelier at the entrance, a rack of old newspapers, and a graffiti-filled hall. The menu will feature American cuisine with tapas-style plates. With this bar, it will be like DFW has its own time machine.
