Just about everyone has played with LEGOs at one point during their childhood, but for one DFW boy it’s more than just a toy. 9-year-old Bennett Hills of North Richland Hills was recently named a finalist for LEGO’s 'North America's Mini Master Model Builder' contest. Not only was his build good enough to make the finals, but it features some of DFW’s most iconic landmarks.
LEGO has begun the voting process for their national Mini Master Model Builder contest. DFW’s own Bennett Hills is one of 12 finalists from around the country hoping to be named the winner, according to NBC DFW. Voting is currently underway and ends Monday, July 10 at 9AM.
"I started having this dream of being a LEGO master, and I've wanted to accomplish that," said Hills. His DFW landmark-themed LEGOscape features Reunion Tower, the Stockyards, and more. Any fellow North Texan hoping to see Hills win can vote for him here.
