Most world records seem impossible to break, yet somehow people keep finding ways to break records doing things that don’t seem very hard. That’s exactly what one DFW company is hoping to do next month, and they are inviting the entire metroplex to join them in their attempt. Grapevine-based Solo Stove will attempt to break the world record for the most people making s'mores simultaneously, and they are bringing their popular Mesa fire pits to help get the job done.

On July 22, Solo Stove will team up with Honey Maid and Jet-Puffed in hopes of setting a world record in DFW. The event, which is being called S'moresapalooza, will take place at Chicken N Pickle in Grapevine and will include a few Dallas Mavericks players joining for the record attempt. All attendees must be at least 12 years old and everyone will have to roast and eat their own S’more, according to WFAA.

The current record is 801 people making s’mores simultaneously, which was set by the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee/Williamson County in 2018.
Hopefully, that record will soon be broken and DFW will be able to claim the title of s’mores king.
