Losing an item is always frustrating, especially when it’s something as important as a wedding ring. Sadly in most cases, once it’s gone it’s lost forever, which is exactly what one DFW man thought when he misplaced his wedding ring on a Florida beach. Luckily for the man, the world can seem very small at times, as his ring was found by a fellow North Texan.
Chris Ramirez was in Fort Lauderdale earlier this summer, on vacation with his family, when he accidentally lost his wedding ring on the beach. “The water was a little choppy, so I decided to take my ring off, and I put it in the diaper bag. While moving from where we were sitting to back to the resort, the ring somehow fell out,” said Ramirez. Though he thought it was gone forever he decided to call the hotel in a last ditch effort.
While the hotel at first said no ring was found, they later claimed someone had found a ring. According to Fox 4 News, the ring was found by fellow North Texan Charlotte Duffey, who found the ring while on vacation with her daughter. After confirming it belonged to Ramirez, Duffey was able to return it. This proves even outside the lone Star state, Texans have each other’s back.
