There are many things DFW does better than anywhere else in the country, which is why so many people have decided to move to the metroplex in the last few years. While many see north Texas as a great place to live, rarely is it seen as a popular travel destination. However, a new study has named DFW as the fourth best winter travel destination in the United States, giving DFW yet another area to excel at.
WalletHub recently conducted a survey to determine which cities in the country are best for those looking to escape the cold weather this year. The rankings were determined based on a number of factors, including; travel costs and hassles, local costs, attractions, weather, activities, and safety. According to Dallas Culture Map, DFW landed the number four spot after being ranked number one in the travel costs and hassles category, number two in weather, and top 30 in attractions, local costs, activities and safety.

Texas was well represented on the list, as Austin claimed the number one spot, and Houston and San Antonio both landed in the top 10. San Diego and Las Vegas were the top cities outside of Texas. Thanks to this list, it looks like North Texans can expect a few more visitors this year.
