Thanks to trendy menu items and bottomless mimosas, brunch has become a weekend staple for many in recent years. Now, with Mother’s Day right around the corner more people are looking to hop on the trend and celebrate their mom with Sunday brunch. Luckily, Open Table recently released their list of the 100 best brunch spots in America, and Texas was well represented.
According to Open Table’s annual list of the 100 Best Brunch Restaurants in America for 2021, there are three DFW restaurants worthy of praise; Haywire and Whiskey Cake in Plano, along with Yardbird Southern Table & Bar in Dallas. In total, Texas had seven different restaurants making the list. Open Table created the list based on restaurant reviews that had “brunch” tagged as a special feature.
A Texas restaurant was named the number one brunch spot in America, with Houston’s a’Bouzy being named the top restaurant on the list, according to Restaurant News. While many agreed with the list, some were disappointed their go to brunch spot was left off. Using this list, finding a special restaurant for Mother’s Day shouldn’t be difficult.
