Keeping up with lawn care is an important aspect of owning a home. No one likes looking at an unkempt yard, and while some claim mowing the lawn can be therapeutic, most rather get the task done with as little effort as possible. Luckily, there is a new DFW startup that is hoping to make robotic lawnmowers a reality.
Sensori Robotics, a recently launched Dallas-based startup, wants to help solve the landscaper labor shortage with their new robotic lawnmower that they have spent the last three years making. The electric robot mower is currently in the beta stage and “will be ready for limited trials in the North Texas area early this summer,” claims the company. According to Dallas Innovates, Sensori Robotics hopes to have their product cutting lawns for landscapers by the fall.
The robot lawnmower operates on a cloud-based software, and uses AI to move around the lawn and find the parts that need to be trimmed. Landscapers will be able to track the robot’s moves using an app. With this new product, lawn care may soon be a lot easier.
