DFW has grown quite a bit over the last few years. With a number of businesses moving to the metroplex recently, the area has gone through plenty of changes to accommodate all the new residents. Now, thanks to all the new people moving here, it has been announced that the population in North Texas has officially topped 8 million.

The North Central Texas Council of Governments recently unveiled their 2022 population estimates, revealing that North Texas now has over 8 million residents. The metroplex reached the new high thanks to 157,000 people moving to the area in 2021. According to CW33, 21 different metroplex cities grew by 10% or more in the last year.
