Celebrity sightings are always exciting, especially in Texas where they can be a rarity. Of course sometimes people are duped into thinking they are meeting their favorite celebrity, when really they are just meeting a look-alike. Now, DFW has been thrown into a debate as locals argue whether U2’s Bono made an appearance at Mi Cocina last week, or if it was someone that looks like the singer taking credit for his fame.

Over the weekend, Highland Park Village shared a photo of two people standing with what appears to be U2’s Bono. “You never know who you’ll run into at the Monkey Bar! We hope you enjoyed your time Mi Cocina, Bono.
Cheers!” they captioned the now viral post. However, many in the comment section were quick to claim it wasn’t actually Bono in the photo, according to WFAA.

Sadly, it has since been confirmed that it wasn't Bono, but instead just his Doppelgänger. Many were stunned as the man looked identical to the singer. At least now the man knows he can always launch a career as a Bono impersonator.
