Having their dog go missing is a nightmare scenario for most pet owners, but luckily some dogs are able to use their instincts to find their way back home. Luckily for one Texas family, while their dog didn't manage to make it home, it was able to find the rescue shelter the family had adopted it from. Employees at the Animal Rescue League of El Paso were stunned recently when the dog showed up on their door step, ringing the bell for help.

Back in January, a rescue dog named Bailey went missing from her newly adopted home. Obviously the family was devastated, so they reached out to the Animal Rescue League of El Paso for help. While the shelter posted on social media hoping others could help spot the dog, they didn't need to as the dog managed to find them instead. According to People, on January 31 Bailey appeared at the shelter at 1 in the morning, ringing the doorbell to be let in.
"Bailey is now safe. To all those who searched, spotted, called, hoped - we thank you. As we know, dogs are incredible," the shelter posted on social media alongside a photo of the dog. Luckily, the dog is now back with its adopted family. At least now they know where to look if it ever goes missing again.
