In the 2002 film, ‘Like Mike,’ a young boy stumbles upon a pair of shoes once owned by Michael Jordan that make him good enough to play in the NBA. While obviously this could never happen in real life, if it ever was to happen, it would probably be with an item set to be sold at auction this month. It was recently announced one of Eddie Van Halen’s most iconic guitars will be included in an upcoming Sotheby's auction, and many fans are hoping to get their hands on it to see if it helps them play like Eddie.

On April 18, Sotheby's will auction off an Eddie Van Halen guitar the musician used in the ‘Hot For Teacher’ video. The guitar was personally crafted for Van Halen by the Kramer luthier Paul Unkert, and was one of his main guitars from 1983 to 1984. According to Ultimate Guitar, it comes with a single double-coil Seymour Duncan humbucker pickup, a volume knob, a Floyd Rose bridge, and a whammy bar.

The iconic guitar is expected to be sold for between $2 million and $3 million, with a starting bid of $1.8 million. Sotheby’s claims it is the first Eddie Van Halen guitar to include screw holes on the back of the body. For anyone wanting to own a piece of rock history, this may be their chance.
