There aren’t many things in the ‘Star Wars’ universe that can be found in real life. However, the internet recently discovered one of the creatures found only in the beloved franchise may have a real life doppelganger. Video of a Sichuan snub-nosed monkey went viral recently, but all ‘Star Wars’ fans could think of was the monkeys similarities to an Ewok, and now fans are calling for a new live-action Ewok movie using the rare monkey.

As seen in the now viral clip, the Ewok-like monkey walks up to the person recording, taking food from their hand, and quickly demanding more. While many online spread the video due to its adorable content, for ‘Star Wars’ fans; it was all about getting to see more Ewoks in a future film. “Live-action Ewok series confirmed!” joked one social media user.

Sadly for ‘Star Wars’ fans, they won’t be able to get one of these Ewok-like monkeys as a pet, as the Golden Snub monkey is currently endangered and found mostly in Southwestern China, according to Movieweb. Still, many are hoping this leads to another Ewok sighting in a future Star Wars movie. Maybe George Lucas didn’t add Ewoks to the 1983’s ‘Return of the Jedi’ as a marketing ploy after all.
