Fair Park has been a part of DFW since the 1930s, but soon it will look a lot different than many remember. The park is set to begin a number of renovations, but one many are excited for is the new 18-acre park. Now, Fair Park First has unveiled the first look at the upcoming park and some of the features it will include.

On Wednesday, plans were revealed for the new community park set to begin construction at Fair Park later this year. Currently the space is occupied by a parking lot, but once complete will feature one of the largest playgrounds in the metroplex, a dog park, a performance stage, and an outdoor market. "This is all about equity, and it’s all about giving back a space that can be a part of people’s lives on a regular activated basis instead of being a seldom-used parking space," said Brian Luallen, the CEO for Fair Park First.
