The internet has given musicians all over the world the chance to display their skills. While most show off their ability to sing or play instruments like guitars or drums, sometimes a video goes viral of someone taking a random object and using it to create musical magic. The latest example of this comes from a musician that used actual chili peppers to cover the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
In the clip that has since gone viral, musician Tyzo Bloom places a wire in each chili pepper, connecting them to a system known as Makey Makey that allows the user to turn any conductive item into an instrument. Bloom then uses the vegetables to recreate ‘Can’t Stop’ by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. “The world I love,” Bloom captioned the viral video.
According to Louder Sound, this is not the first time Bloom has gone viral for songs using items related to the band he’s covering. He has performed Black Eyed Peas’ ‘I Gotta Feeling’ using black eye peas, Smashmouth’s ‘All Star’ using Converse All Star shoes and Florence & The Machine’s ‘Dog Days Are Over’ using hot dogs. Clearly the internet was made for Bloom’s skills.
