Back in January, fans were both shocked and thrilled when it was announced Daniel Radcliffe would be portraying Weird Al Yankovic in an upcoming biopic. Now, fans got their first glimpse of the actor in costume as the iconic song parody musician. Photos of Radcliffe in character while on the sent recently spread online, and now fan anticipation for the film is at an all-time high.
Production for ‘WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story’ began earlier this month in Los Angeles, and while not much has been shared about the film since the initial announcement, fans now know how the film’s star will look. Over the weekend, photos of an unrecognizable Radcliffe went viral, as many fans couldn’t believe the actor’s Weird Al transformation. Of course, Weird Al seems just as excited as his fans for the film, jokingly saying “I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for,” when the casting was first announced.

According to People, the Weird Al biopic will stream on Roku, though no release date has been announced at this time. The film promises to bring "audiences on a truly unbelievable journey through Yankovic's life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time." Maybe this will be what finally makes the world take Weird Al seriously.
