Your childhood dream of owning a fire truck could very well become a reality.
The Fate (located just north of Rockwall) Department of Public Safety is auctioning off one of their old fire engines to the public in order to fund the purchase of more life-saving gear for its fire crews.
According to NBC DFW, the 2007 Freightliner fire truck has just over 19,000 miles on it, and could be perfect for a construction or landscaping business.
Current bids have the truck listed at around $16,000.
