Coming across a wild animal anywhere but the zoo can be a stressful situation. While an animal at a safe distance is a sight to see, when they get up close and personal, things get a little more serious. One man recently learned that the hard way when a bobcat attempted a surprise attack on his family. Luckily, the father went into dad mode, and saved his family from the animal attack.

As seen in the viral clip, the father is walking out to his car, holding a tray of brownies, when all of a sudden a bobcat scream is heard. According to Brobible, the man quickly jumps into action, grabbing the bobcat and tossing him in his yard. When the bobcat gets back up, and sprints towards the car, the father can be heard yelling, “I’m going to shoot it!”
Many online were amazed by the heroic act, with some nominating the man for father of the year. Luckily, the man’s actions prevented anyone form being injured during the bobcat attack. Hopefully round two is a little less intense.
