Far too often child actors make the news later in life for breaking the law. Sadly, the most recent example of this happened right here in DFW, as an actor known most for his role of the Disney show ‘Hannah Montana’ was recently arrested. The actor was arrested for public intoxication and theft after attempting to steal a bag of chips.

On Saturday, police in Rockwall received a call about a disturbance at a hotel after a man who appeared intoxicated took a bag of chips from the hotel and began eating them without paying. When police arrived, they found actor Mitchel Musso outside the hotel, who reportedly became verbally abusive and left when asked to pay for the chips. According to NBC DFW, Musso was arrested for public intoxication and theft, in addition to other charges.

Records show the total bail for the public intoxication and theft charges was $1,000. Musso, who was born in Garland, also had several outstanding traffic warrants out of Rockwall Police Department. Hopefully the next time Musso makes the news, it’s for his acting and not another arrest.
