It has been over a month since the entire country was focused on the lottery, with a Mega Millions prize of $1.34 billion. While no one from Texas purchased the winning ticket for that round, the latest Mega Millions drawing actually picked the numbers of a ticket purchased here in DFW. Now, the lucky person who bought the ticket in Fort Worth will be $3 million richer.
On Tuesday, the Mega Millions revealed their latest winning numbers, announcing the winning ticket came from Terry’s Food on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth. The winning numbers were 2, 38, 55, 57, and 65, according to CW33.
The winner would have been rewarded with a larger prize, but they missed on the Mega Ball number.
“Tickets must be claimed no later than 180 days after the draw date,” said the lottery. Luckily, the jackpot is still available as a drawing for the $169 million prize will be on Friday. Maybe for the second time this week someone in DFW will get lucky.
