Galveston is already a well-known travel destination, but it may soon become even more popular. It was recently announced a new massive beach resort is being built in Crystal Beach, Texas on the Bolivar Peninsula, and it will be the first in the country to have its own private airport. The multiphase development is expected to break ground later this year, and be complete by 2025.

Dubbed "The Peninsula Beach Resort," the new 110-acre, multi-phase development coming to Galveston County is expected to feature a number of amenities to attract visitors. Some of these include the largest beach front ice house/sports bar and grill in the Texas Gulf Coast, indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment areas with big screen TVs overlooking championship sand volleyball and pickleball courts, resort, recreational lake, spa, condos, beach home and so much more.

According to Chron, the final phase will be the private, full-service Federal Aviation Administration approved airport with a 2,700-foot-long runway. The resort is already being called a “game changer.” Soon, The Peninsula Beach Resort may be the go-to Texas travel destination.
